Since its launch in 2003, HYDROX BIO 68 has been adopted by
a large and growing number of ship operators.
Leading cruise liner, tanker, car carrier and other operators now count on HYDROX
BIO 68 as a key component in their preventive maintenance and environmental
compliance programmes.
Being both readily biodegradable and non-toxic, it offers clear advantages over
conventional system oils and alternative approaches to the environmental issue.

- HYDROX BIO 68 offers a high standard of lubrication, thus
offering prospect of optimum bearing life.
- It shares with other HYDROX sterntube oils the ability to
absorb ingressing seawater and, in so doing, ensures that lubricating and anti-corrosive
performance are maintained.
This means that vessels can continue in operation even with significant quantities
of water in the oil and thus avoid out of service costs.
- HYDROX BIO 68 has been designed to be compatible with sterntube
seals. As such, it is approved by number of seal makers.
- HYDROX BIO 68 is suitable for use with conventional white
metal bearings and also with RAILKO composite bearings, including STERNSAFETM.
- HYDROX BIO 68 is truly 'Readily Biodegadable' according
to he internationally recognised OCCD 301 B test.
- It is Non-Toxic, and has been independently tested on a full range of key
aquatic organisms through the food chain.
- HYDROX BIO 68 is produced from renewable resourses, a key
criterion of ecological acceptability.
- HYDROX BIO 68 is used in a wide variety of ships including
Cruise vessels, VLCCs, Gas carriers, Product tankers, Ferries, Car carriers, Parcel
tankers and Dredgers.
